Welcome to Janel Rae! I am so happy you are here! I am Janel and I am the woman who never sleeps. I love to keep busy, organize, work hard, play hard, plan parties and events, volunteer, and spend a lot of time with my family. I am obsessed with shopping sales and using any discount codes or coupons I can. I love winning things! I mean, who doesn’t? I have a great life with my husband and two children. We have 2 Shih Tzu dogs and we live in Northern Utah.
Our story began 14 years ago. Jeff and I were both recently divorced and met each other online. Yes, we are one of those love stories. Neither one of us was looking for a long-term relationship. We had both recently joined the same dating site and we were ‘testing the waters’ of the online dating world. Jeff was living in Sandy, Utah at the time and I was in San Diego, California. We did the usual communicating through the website, then moved to emails and then phone calls. A month after we started talking, I flew to Sandy to meet Jeff in person. It was an amazing visit and 2 months later we were married. It was a whirlwind romance with a happily ever after ending.
Jeff is Mr. Chill. He is funny, kind, understanding, hardworking, incredibly handsome and has a heart of gold. In most relationships, there is a yin and yang. Jeff is my yin. He keeps me balanced and that is not an easy job. He loves everything sports. His favorite teams are the Utah Utes, New York Mets, San Diego Chargers, and the Utah Jazz. He loves to fish, golf, play softball and spend time with his family. He is from Utah and has spent most of his life here. He served an LDS mission to Brussels, Belgium, and France and learned the French language. I am completely in love with him and he truly is my best friend. Yes, totally cheesy, but true!
Chase is 13 and he is the most amazing teenager…hormones and all! He has this insane ability to make everyone around him laugh and love to be with him. He is smart, kind, hardworking, passionate and one of a kind. He has an incredible gift of being able to memorize things and can recite movies or documentaries verbatim. He loves video games, hanging out with friends, and he has a huge passion for Martial Arts. He is not a typical teenager though. Chase was diagnosed as Developmentally Delayed at age 2, on the Autism Spectrum at the age of 7, ADHD at the age of 10, Depression/Anxiety at the age of 11 and he has always suffered from Insomnia (he gets that one from me). He and Kylee started a business together earlier this year selling sensory fidgets and it has been a huge success. His journey has not been an easy one and I look forward to sharing his story with you. This is where Chase would say something like, ‘Prepare to be amazed because I am awesome!”.
Kylee is 10 and she is everything you could ever want in a daughter. She has a natural way of making everyone in a room want to be her friend. She loves with all of her heart and is always looking for ways to serve and help others. Her giggle is very infectious and she just makes you feel better when you are around her. She loves everything cats. She is crafty, loves sewing and she is very artistic. I enjoy none of those, including the cats, so she did not take after me. She is very smart and very tall for her age. I often have to remind myself that she is only 10. Like her brother, she is not a typical 10-year-old girl. Kylee was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies at the age of 1. At age 2 she was diagnosed with Amblyopia and on the day before her 7th birthday she had her first panic attack. Anxiety has been a part of her life ever since. Her story is very inspiring as well and I look forward to sharing it with you.
I am a licensed Real Estate Agent and work full time as a Property Manager. I am also a Maskcara Beauty Artist. I am originally from Michigan and have lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Idaho, Oregon, California and now Utah. I have loved every place I have lived and hope to travel the U.S.A. soon with my family. It is amazing to me how many different cultures we have in one Country.
